2006
Moritz Lehmkuhl founds ClimatePartner to provide companies with solutions in voluntary climate protection. Right from the start, there is a focus on personalized consulting in climate protection activities for business clients.
2007
ClimatePartner invents the concept of “climate neutral printing” and successfully establishes relationships with its first print shop clients. International expansion with the establishment of subsidiaries in Austria and Switzerland, as well as partnerships in Greece and Japan.
2008
Business operations are initiated in the USA, as are the first large-scale international projects, such as carbon offsetting for the Eurocup in Austria.
2009
ClimatePartner develops Footprint Manager, an IT solution for carbon management that can be integrated directly into the software a client is currently using. Footprint Manager facilitates efficient and transparent analyzing, balancing, and offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions.
2010
The entire Footprint Manager carbon management process is certified by the technical inspection authority TÜV Austria. ClimatePartner’s pioneering concept receives recognition from the World Economic Forum in Davos, which honors Moritz Lehmkuhl with Young Global Leader membership.
2011
ClimatePartner expands its consulting expertise even further with the addition of Tristan A. Foerster as second CEO. Focus is increasingly centered on strategies for integrating climate protection into a company’s value creation chain. Further enhancement to the Footprint Manager with first-time MIS integration in client ERP systems.
2012
ClimatePartner develops solutions for clients in new industries, including film & TV and the hotel sector.
Today
ClimatePartner’s staff consults over 1,000 clients from more than 25 countries. The climate protection pioneer has become a highly diversified business solution provider and is now the global market leader.
