Climate Action Summit 2023 - FAQ

What is the Climate Action Summit?

The Climate Action Summit is a two-day conference organised by ClimatePartner GmbH. It brings our clients together with scientists, corporate leaders, media representatives, and the wider business community to discuss the stories, challenges, and best-practices of corporate climate action. It is an annual event held in Munich. Attendance is possible on-site, as well as virtually through our event platform.

Who is the Summit for?

The event is open to anyone who is interested in learning about corporate climate action and connecting with like-minded professionals.

In what language will the Summit take place?

The Summit will feature both a German and English programme, which take place on separate stages. Any programme addressing all participants, e.g. during the gala dinner, will take place in English.

Where can I get an impression of the past event?

The agenda and video collection from our first Summit in 2021 can be found here (German only).

Where does the Summit take place?

The Summit takes place in two adjacent buildings in the southeast of Munich. The first is Wappenhalle, which served as the arrival hall of the former airport Munich-Riem until its closure in 1992. We also use rooms from the Nemetschek-Stiftung next door.

How do I get there?

The easiest and most sustainable way to access the Summit is to come by subway (U-Bahn) from Munich Central Station. Take U2 to Messestadt West, then walk approx. 6 minutes. If you come by car, take the autobahn A94 and then exit at Messe/ICM Riem.

Where can I stay during the Summit?

You can stay in a single room at Motel One Messe München for 79 euros if you use the passcode "ReadyForClimateAction" when booking. Simply send an email to, giving a credit card number including expiration date, CVV code, and name of the cardholder. Furthermore, we have another event deal for 159 euros per comfort twin room at H4 Hotel Messe München if you book via this link.

What is the content of the Summit?

The programme will include keynote speeches, as well as panel discussions with ClimatePartner clients and climate action experts. To get a better idea of the content, check out this year’s core topics.

How do I register for the virtual streaming platform?

Four days prior to the event, you will receive a registration link. Your username and password will give you access to the virtual streaming platform, as well as to the event app, which offers you features for both virtual and on-site participation.

Is the programme linear or can I choose between different presentation topics?

Sessions will take place throughout both days on the English and German stage, which leaves open the possibility to choose between two topics. As all presentations will be recorded, the entire programme will be available on-demand following the event.

I am unable to attend the Climate Action Summit. Is there a way to watch it after it ends?

Yes, all sessions at the Summit will be recorded and can be watched afterwards. Please register for virtual participation, as the recordings will be uploaded shortly after the event.

How long will tickets be available for the Summit?

Tickets for on-site participation are available until all seats are filled. Tickets for virtual participation are available on an unlimited basis. Both can be bought until 20 June 2023. Early Bird tickets will be available until 28 February 2023.

What payment options are available when buying a ticket?

Tickets can either be purchased by credit card or invoice. Simply choose your preferred method in the booking process. When selecting an invoice, please note that the account holder is NOT ClimatePartner, but rather our payment provider, Novalnet AG.

Can I purchase more than one ticket?

Yes. However, please note that all tickets must be purchased separately, as each ticket is individualised.

I have a ticket for the Summit 2022. Is it still valid for the 2023 events?

Yes, as the Climate Action Summit 2022 was postponed to June 2023, your ticket remains valid. There is nothing you need to do in this regard.

Can I buy a ticket for one day only?

Unfortunately, this is not a possibility.

How can I actively participate in or contribute to the Summit?
