Over 50,000 Climate Neutral Print Orders Placed in 2013 with ClimatePartner
ClimatePartner publishes figures on climate neutral print orders for the first time – More than 500 printers work with ClimatePartner – Trends for 2014: IT-Integration into printers’ MIS software and web shops
Munich/Vienna/Zurich – More than 50,000 climate neutral print orders placed in 2013: For the first time, ClimatePartner publishes figures on print products rendered climate neutral using the “Footprint Manager” IT solution.
There are already more than 500 print shops – ranging from two-man specialized shops and family-owned businesses to internationally active printing groups with online business and web-to-print companies – working with ClimatePartner to offer climate neutral print products. Customers particularly include companies and corporations, but also agencies and public administration. “Structuring corporate communication to be climate neutral is increasingly becoming an integral component for companies looking to implement their own climate protection strategy in a visible manner,” states Moritz Lehmkuhl, ClimatePartner CEO.
The carbon emissions of print products are calculated and offset in an automated process based on individual production data that have been stored. The process takes place online via the “Footprint Manager” IT solution, or even directly in the ERP software the business uses for order calculation. “An increasing number of customers are performing climate neutral printing right in their own MIS software – without incurring additional expenditure for day-to-day business,” explains Lehmkuhl. “In addition to efficient IT solutions, our customers especially benefit from our ongoing support and services.”
These services include workshops like the ClimatePartner Academy, a tried and tested knowledge transfer platform. “The workshops are used to discuss and develop relevant topics in dialogue with clients and partners who are moving climate neutral printing forward, even beyond sectoral boundaries,” says the climate protection expert. The ClimatePartner Academy is already being held for the fifth year in eight cities in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
ClimatePartner offsets carbon emissions by supporting internationally recognized carbon offset projects. As Moritz Lehmkuhl explains: “We only offer clients carbon offset projects that have successfully passed the certification process – such as the distinguished Gold Standard. IT, transparency, and ongoing customer service will continue to be success factors in the upcoming year.”
