Carbon offset projects
Bionatic was founded to provide a solution to the problem of petrol-based plastics. The ideal scenario would be to avoid creating rubbish in the first place, but in today's world, that is hardly practical. The demand for convenience products continues to grow, and food needs to be protected during transport and it all has to be as inexpensive as possible.
Bionatic has come up with a sustainable solution: food packaging made from sustainable ingredients such as plant starch, sugar canes and palm leaves; especially suitable for food-to-go (e.g. straws and salad boxes).
Bionatic created a CO2 balance sheet for all products – as well as the company itself – and offsets all its emissions via its carbon offset project in Kenya's Kasigau Wildlife Corridor.
