Carbon offset projects
The hotel mama thresl in Leogang is situated in the middle of the mountains in the Salzburger Land. The hotel is both casual and traditional, guests feel at home immediately.
The owners Renate and Hubert Oberlader attach great importance to sustainability: the rooms are made of local woods, the energy comes from a biomass heating plant. Triple-glazed windows provide thermal insulation and the elevator runs on energy recovery. Even the organic waste from the kitchen ends up in a methane gas plant.
The mama thresl offers climate neutral accomodation: Via an interface between the booking software HotelNetSolutions and ClimatePartner, the carbon emissions of the overnight stay are calculated. The guest sees directly with the reservation the height of the emissions and its surcharge for the balance. Thus with only one click he can stay overnight climate neutrally. For this he supports our hydropower project in Renun, Indonesia.

The hotel hosts events of all kinds and the corresponding overnight accommodation climate neutrally. Individual guests also have the option of offsetting the emissions generated by their stay.
Nectar has always sought ways to help people sleep better at night, and part of that fuels their attention to climate action. For three years they have been on an ongoing journey to address the
