Nectar – Carbon Neutral Sleeping

Nectar has always sought ways to help people sleep better at night, and part of that fuels their attention to climate action. For three years they have been on an ongoing journey to address the emissions they generate by ensuring every Nectar and DreamCloud mattress is carbon neutral.
Over time they have eliminated harmful chemicals that can be used in the production of their mattresses to ensure that their products are safe and do not harm the environment. The confidence they have in the quality of their products is reflecting in their full year returns policy, allowing customers to trade in a mattress should they not be satisfied in the first 365 days. These returned mattresses are not set out to waste, but instead refurbished and repurposed as donations to charities in need of beds.
As part of their efforts to become a carbon neutral product provider, any emissions of their mattresses that cannot be removed or avoided are offset through forest protection projects in the Brazilian Amazon, protecting native wildlife and fauna, whilst supporting families in the area.
They have committed to building a holistic climate action strategy and are in the process of setting ambitious goals to tackle all their corporate and product carbon emissions.
