Start your assessment

Set the foundation
Define the goal of your carbon footprint assessment: identifying emission hotspots, preparing for certification, or guiding reduction strategies. Establish the system boundaries by deciding which parts of your business, product, or supply chain to include.
Gather and convert data
Collecting data on energy use, materials, transportation, and other relevant activities, applying internationally recognised emission factors to convert this data into CO₂ equivalents (CO₂e).
Calculate and document
Calculating your total emissions based on the data and factors collected. Then, documenting the results, including methodologies, boundaries, assumptions, and sources.
