• Klaus-Peter Siemssen takes over the role of CEO of ClimatePartner GmbH  
• Founder Moritz Lehmkuhl remains active for the company as managing director 
• ClimatePartner continues its internationalisation and further develops its range of climate action services

As part of the further development and strategic alignment of ClimatePartner GmbH, the company is also breaking new ground in personnel terms. Klaus-Peter Siemssen has been the company's new CEO since 1 January 2024. Founder Moritz Lehmkuhl will remain active for ClimatePartner as managing director and will continue in his passionate endeavour to bring corporate climate action to an even wider audience. He handed over his previous role as CEO to Siemssen at the turn of the year.

Siemssen has already gained international management experience in various functions and companies of different sizes. Among other positions, he was previously Managing Director of Occhio GmbH and CEO of Selux GmbH, and he has supported companies in change management and digital transformation as a consultant. His expertise in the field of brand development and digitalisation makes him the ideal person to lead the ClimatePartner GmbH team, which has grown considerably in recent years.

Klaus-Peter Siemssen is making the move from the lighting sector to the field of climate action. Siemssen on his new role: "ClimatePartner has been in the industry for almost 20 years and is one of the pioneers of voluntary corporate climate action. In my previous positions, I was able to help companies become more sustainable. As CEO of ClimatePartner, I am particularly pleased to now be fully active in the climate action sector. Together with our customers, we are tackling one of the most pressing tasks of our time. Finding contemporary solutions and new quality standards for corporate climate action, together with such an experienced team, is an absolutely meaningful task for me. I am therefore very much looking forward to being able to strategically develop such an established brand in a very dynamic market environment."

Moritz Lehmkuhl will remain associated with ClimatePartner in his role as managing director and will remain in close dialogue with Klaus-Peter Siemssen. However, for the first time since the com-pany was founded in 2006, the founder is handing over the operational management of his company to other hands: "For me, handing over the operational tasks in a company of this size means having more freedom again. I can now devote more time strategically to the issue that has always been closest to my heart: climate action."
