ClimatePartner is pleased to announce that “Climate Neutral” has been selected by Amazon as a trusted certification for its Climate Pledge Friendly program.

Climate Pledge Friendly features certifications that are reputable, transparent, and have a focus on preserving the natural world, helping customers discover and shop for more sustainable products. The program was inspired by the Climate Pledge, a commitment to be net zero carbon by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement.

Climate Pledge Friendly now has more than 75,000 products across the U.S. and Europe from trusted certifications. The addition of the “Climate Neutral” certification is a welcomed step and gives customers even more options to shop more sustainably.

The “Climate Neutral” label by ClimatePartner has been on the market for more than a decade and is recognized by independent and governmental institutions as trustworthy. It verifies the carbon footprint of a product was calculated, is continuously reduced and remaining emissions were offset. The individual ID number on the label leads to a landing page, which provides transparency on the specific CO₂ offset amounts, details on the certified carbon offset projects supported and carbon reduction strategies in place.
