Lumea, a network of eye surgery centres operating in the Greater Toronto Area, has implemented sustainable practices within their clinics. Lumea has worked with ClimatePartner to determine their carbon footprint, establish reduction targets, execute reduction measures, and finance climate projects for their unabated emissions.

Innovative recipes, combined with social and environmental responsibility – that’s Revolution Tea. Revolution Tea has prioritized this value by, whenever possible, having Fairtrade-Certified teas, as well as using biodegradable tea bags with FSC-certified tea bag labels. To further their impact, Revolution Tea joined forces with ClimatePartner to calculate all the emissions produced by the full lifecycle of their tea products - from the sourcing of raw and packaging materials to the production process, transport to retailers, and end of life.

The collection of scope 3 emissions data presents a significant challenge to companies. As the data becomes more accurate, the reduction measures become more effective.

In Switzerland, more than 6 million tonnes of municipal waste are produced annually, equating to 700 kg of waste per capita. Municipal waste is household-type waste, produced in private households, public buildings, and businesses. Thousands of waste containers are used for disposal.

What makes an item produced in today’s global economy ‘sustainable’? We took the world’s carbon budget, divided it between the global population and tried to understand how close (or far away) we are from a sustainable planet.

The new label offers even more insight into companies’ climate action commitments.
