ClimatePartner expands into the USA

September 20, 2021
  • New Boston office led by Tristan A. Foerster, brings climate action to a global level
  • Increased international reach for the established “carbon neutral” label

All measures to keep global warming within the 1.5 degree scenario have to be deployed as quickly as possible and scaled up rapidly. To drive this momentum, ClimatePartner expands its business and operations into the USA.

Lead by Tristan A. Foerster, CEO and Co-Founder of ClimatePartner, the new office in Boston is the hub and contact point for companies operating in North America. ClimatePartner will support organizations who aim to understand their carbon footprint and to reach carbon neutrality for their businesses, products and services.

By providing support and answering the demand for achieving carbon neutrality in one of the world’s largest economies, climate action comes to a new global level and the established “carbon neutral” label is gaining even more international reach and impact.

The label verifies that carbon emissions were calculated, reduced and unavoidable emissions were offset. Each day, new products with the label “carbon neutral” come to the market, providing transparent carbon footprint information and enabling consumers to make a climate conscious shopping decision.

Bringing climate action to the next level

Tristan A. Foerster: “Enabling improved lives with climate action is what drives me. I am therefore thankful and excited to lead and accompany ClimatePartner into this new dimension. With our increased presence, we can support international companies even better, while also continuing our vision to bring climate action to a truly global scale.”

Moritz Lehmkuhl, CEO and Founder of ClimatePartner, adds: “It is an important step for climate action and for ClimatePartner, too. We have already become the partner of choice for more than 4,000 companies, enabling them to take climate action and get a grip on their carbon emissions. I am more than happy to see Tristan leading our business activities in North America and accompanying companies on their path to carbon neutrality.”

ClimatePartner has been pioneering the market with its solution for corporate climate action since 2006. With a team of more than 300 climate action experts, the company has been expanding its presence across Europe already, supporting more than 4,000 companies in over 40 countries.
