Climate-neutral winter sports at ISPO2020

January 28, 2020

Ecological, functional and chic at the same time – that is indeed possible. Several of our customers and partners present their climate-neutral products or initiatives at ISPO, the leading trade fair for the sports industry. They all demonstrate just how much climate protection is also a trend in winter sports.

In addition to the sports outfitters Ziener, Bergans and Sympatex, also Zanier and Bleed Clothing are on show at ISPO. Both companies present a jointly developed glove made of 100% recycled materials.

ClimatePartner itself is a partner of the Greenroom Voice Showcase in the Sustainability Hub at ISPO 2020 in Hall A2.

The importance of climate protection in active winter sports has become apparent through the work of our partner Vitalpin. The international organization is committed to environmentally friendly tourism in the Alps. With Austrian ski resort Ischgl as the largest climate-neutral ski resort, it has quickly set off a far-reaching signal effect with regard to climate protection and alpine sports. Other ski regions in Austria and Germany are already starting their own considerations in this direction.

Only in mid-January, the success of the fashion fair Neonyt had shown how closely linked climate protection and clothing must now be thought of. With our support, the fair itself was climate-neutral. We calculated all the carbon emissions generated during the fair and offset them through an internationally recognised climate protection project.
